Meet our Director of Wellness
Debra Ann Lindstrom, Director of the Wellness Center
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Debbie (as she prefers to be called) Lindstrom has received her entire educational and clinical training in the Philadelphia area. She earned her nursing diploma (R.N.) from Germantown Dispensary and Hospital. She also earned her B.S.N. in nursing from LaSalle University while working there. She had a 10 year career at Germantown Hospital. Her last position was a head nurse of a 24 bed medical/oncology unit.
Debbie then switched gears, and worked for several years as a per diem nurse for multiple nursing agencies, providing medical, surgical and neurological care at various hospitals and rehab centers. In 1988, she joined the prestigious Fox Chase Cancer Center as a staff nurse for many years in the in-patient and out-patient areas. She gained valuable clinical knowledge working with patients who had a variety of cancers.
She came to Princeton Windrows in 2011 as a weekend nurse, and after five years in that position, was promoted to be its Director of Wellness in 2016. Debbie is a strong proponent of proactive “well care,” and advocates wellness education as a prime tool in keeping seniors active and healthy. Warm and down-to-earth, Debbie is an adept manager and is eager to meet and implement the nursing needs of the Windrows community. She regularly posts educational materials, information, and fitness program offerings on the bulletin boards of the Wellness Center and Mailroom.
“My door is always open,” says Debbie, “so I invite residents to please stop by whenever they need—to ask questions, discuss a medical concern, or to offer suggestions to improve our work here.
