Wellness

As we all know, a healthy, independent lifestyle improves high cognitive and physical functioning. The unique needs of seniors, therefore, are always uppermost at Princeton Windrows. The three components of good health—mental, physical and spiritual—are the focus of everything we offer both on and off our 45-acre campus.

We offer flexible monthly meal plans for eating in our three dining rooms, and our chef ensures a wide variety of delicious, healthy dishes are always on the menu. We now have a gluten-free menu, and our festive holiday meals and themed menu nights are always a hit. Crab cakes are a specialty every Friday night and prime rib is a specialty every Saturday night. Sunday Brunch is a popular occasion for inviting relatives, children and friends as guests.

Our group activities and programs engage minds in a variety of interests, pursuits and shared values. Our pet-friendly policy ensures pets and their owners will continue their special relationship. We foster our sense of community with social gatherings, clubs, committee participation, and volunteer opportunities, and celebrate major holidays and special events together. We host art openings and live musical performances, and invite residents and outside speakers to lecture.

Because we are only 4 miles from Princeton University, we encourage residents to enjoy the many art galleries, cultural events, gourmet restaurants, and shops in downtown Princeton. And having a second campus to explore is icing on the cake!

We have a Nature Trail, an excellent Fitness Center with a variety of workout equipment and free weights, showers, lockers, an indoor pool and a spa, and classes ranging from chair exercises to yoga. A massage therapist and personal trainer are available on site for an additional fee. Our Wellness Center which is a nurse based practice offers health education and promotion, blood pressure and glucose screenings, flu and pneumonia injections, first aid, responding to emergency calls, triage and referrals.
